We are sitting in the lobby waiting for our ride to the orphanage. We are to meet the nuns at the orphanage at 10:00. That is 39 minutes. Counting down. So excited! Happy birthday Zoe!!!
I am so excited Guys, I am anxiously waiting for Pics of that beautiful baby girl. Lots of prayers coming your way. It is truly amazing seeing your child for the first time.I am so excited.
I can't stand it! I'm so excited that I can't even focus on work today. I keep thinking that Jamie is getting her new daughter today and that is so much more important than work. Until today, Alissa was the only adopted child in my entire family and in Steve's entire family. Now, Alissa will have something in common with her cousin. I just love it. It's the best and I'm totally rooting for you.
Jamie, I know your first moment with Zoe will be like my first moment with Alissa. I saw Alissa from across the room and started to cry. It was so amazing. I had a little girl at last. After 9 long years of agony, tears, disappointments, and pain, I finally had my daughter. It is the best feeling in the entire world.
April 27- Received approval from Children of All Nations to adopt from Rwanda.
July 14- Finished Home Study and it was sent to Children of All Nations. They forwarded it to the Rwandan Embassy in D.C.
July 14- Sent out our I-600a application (or Orphans Petition Form) to the USCIS (U.S. Cizenship and Immigration Services)
August 7- Our Dossier is finished and sent to Rwanda. Then it will be translated into French and given to the Ministry for approval.
September 4- got back our USCIS form (the I-600a form). It was filed on July 14 and completed on 8/26. That is very quickly. It can take up to 3 months. We now are approved from the United States to adopt.

March 8 - Court date for Zoe in Rwanda
March 10 - Zoe's 2nd birthday. We actually met Zoe today! We also went to court as our court date was cancelled on March 8th.
